Save wizard for ps4 how to add cheats
The thing is that of course this wont work step by step because of the ps4 save file format (a PC game can have it's own save format, but console save files are regulated by the console itself and MUST have some stuff in them so the console sees them as saves).īut FFXHD remasters share the original save structure, so even when a PC save WILL be different than a PS3/PS4 save, it's pretty likely that it has some part in the file that it's a copy paste from the original structure. So, either I'm a stupid (more than likely) or it won't work. I was curious, so I went ahead and followed the steps but when I opened it in FFXED everything was empty. Do you have one of those files? The first question is: how big is it, exactly? The only question is whether they enclosed the save data in some wrapper. So you'd sure think it FFXED would work on the PS3 and/or PS4 versions. NOTES: You need to install JAVA in your PC to run FFXED.jar Dont worry, this is junk code, it serves no purpose and the FFXHD game can open games without this code.ģ.- Open the file with FFXED, edit whatever you want and save (The previous step was to make sure FFXED could open the file, because it doesn't recognise the PC save files directly)Ĥ.- Use the memorysumchecker on the edited file:Ĥb: Press ctrl+O and select your edited fileĤc: Make sure in the left area of the program is selected the one where "X HD" is writtenĥ.- Your save file is succesfully edited and ready to play! Delete everything from the adress 0圆4F8 to the end (64F8 means the 000064F0 row, the 8th column, with that value included). You don't need that with my method, because the save file forma is almost identical to the original PS2 Raw data format.Ģ.- We'll now use HxD to shorten the file to remove a portion FFXED does not recognise.
I did this because I came up with this myself, and after that I saw some guides really obtuse that added a lot of innecesary steps like bruteforceSaveData an PSU templates, they converted the save file intpo PS3 fotmat and then they had to convert it back. OUTDATED METHOD: From now on this doesn't work anymore, please, refer to the guide linked above. If you want to know what you can do with FFXED and how, look at my guide here: THIS POST IS OBSOLETE, THE CURRENT FFXED SUPPORTS PC SAVES NATIVELY.
